Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our ingredients, storage, shelf life, and shipping.
How long do Traditional Sunnundalu stay fresh?
Our Sunnundalu remain fresh for up to 30 days from preparation when kept in an airtight container at normal room temperature. We advise against refrigerating them, as cooling solidifies the natural pure ghee and alters the melt-in-the-mouth texture.
Are there artificial preservatives or synthetic colors in your pickles?
No. We do not use synthetic food colors or chemical preservatives. The vibrant red color comes purely from authentic sun-ripened Guntur chilies. Preservation is achieved naturally through traditional methods: slow moisture reduction, rock salt, roasted mustard, and a generous barrier of cold-pressed oil.
How should I store chicken, mutton, and prawn pickles after opening?
Always use a completely clean, dry spoon. Never introduce water droplets into the jar. Ensure that the meat or prawn pieces remain submerged under the top layer of spiced oil. After opening, refrigeration helps maintain optimal freshness and peak flavour for up to 90 days (60 days for prawn pickle).
What are your shipping rates and delivery timelines?
Orders are freshly prepared and dispatched from Guntur within 24–48 hours. Orders above ₹999 qualify for FREE Delivery anywhere in India. For orders below ₹999, a flat delivery fee of ₹70 is applied. Delivery to major metro cities typically takes 2–4 business days.
Are there any specific allergen considerations?
Yes. Traditional Sunnundalu contains Dairy (pure ghee). Pickles contain Mustard and Groundnut (peanut oil). Crucially, our Prawn Pickle contains CRUSTACEANS (Prawns / Shrimp), which is an allergen for individuals with shellfish allergies. Detailed ingredient lists are marked on every jar.
